Northgate High School Catalog

Mission of the media center:

The Northgate High School Media Center supports the school’s academic curriculum by fostering each student’s independent inquiry, critical thinking skills, and research skills. The purpose of the program is to teach successful search strategies, facilitate successful use of technology, and encourage lifelong reading.  Northgate is committed to student success!

Hours

Monday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday -8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Thursday -8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Tutoring  sponsored by the athletic department for ALL students

Monday - 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

The Georgia Peach Award Goals:

To encourage Georgia young adults in grades 9-12 to recognize and read quality literature appropriate to their needs, interests, and reading levels. 

To honor outstanding works in young adult literature.

To recognize authors in the field of young adult literature. 

To develop cooperative school and public library services to teens.
