Georgia Parent Survey
A letter went home to parents on Friday requesting that you complete a school survey as part of our CCRPI rating. Our CCRPI report is how we are viewed based on academic performance of students as well as other indicators. The survey can be found on the Georgia Department of Education’s website at http://admin.doe.k12.ga.us/gadoe/sla/gaparents.nsf/Survey.xsp or you can access it at www.cowetaschools.org and click on the Georgia Parent Survey link. Thank you for participating.
Affidavits of Residence are due December 20, 2013
The affidavits must be returned with 2 PROOFS from the following list:
- Property tax records
- Mortgage documents
- Apartment or home lease
- Electricity bill (no other utility bill will be accepted)
- Voter ID card
If you enrolled in the Coweta Co. School System at the beginning of this school year or after school started, you completed your affidavit during the registration process and will not need to complete a new one again until next year
AMS 2013-14 Yearbook
Yearbooks are currently $45. You may go to www.jostensyearbooks.com or call 1-866-282-1516 to order. You may also send a check to school with your student. Be sure to write the student’s name and homeroom teacher in the memo line of the check.
When checking out a student, you should come into the front office and show ID. However, when dropping off a student who is late to school or returning them after checking out, it is not necessary to walk them in unless they need assistance. Students may check themselves in on the computer.
Please ensure that your child knows how he/she is getting home when they leave in the mornings, however we understand that emergencies can pop up during the day. Also note that we will do our best to get change-of-transportation messages to your children, but we cannot guarantee them especially between 3:00 and 3:30. Messages are delivered in last period via a parent volunteer and are all delivered by 3:00.
An Important Message from the School Nutrition Office
For parents who qualify for free and reduced meals, we encourage you to use the option of on-line free and reduced applications for school meals. We already have 123 students use this option, which means their application has already been processed SO no waiting for manual entry of paper applications!!! Thank you so much.
