As most of you know, Baton Rouge, Louisiana has been hit hard by flooding. Thousands of Baton Rouge residents are stranded or homeless. More than 20,000 people have been rescued over the past few days.
We are asking for your help with providing supplies for the people of Baton Rouge. The Coweta County Fire Department will be taking a truck full of supplies on Saturday to the people of Baton Rouge. Newnan High School is partnering with the Coweta County Fire and Rescue to support their relief efforts. All supplies will be delivered to the Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge. Students and families who would like to donate are asked to drop off donations to this relief before or after school in room 216 in the Main Building.
If you are willing to help, the following items are needed in the Baton Rouge area and can be dropped off at NHS between now and Friday, August 26. We will get them to the Fire Department. They look to deliver these supplies this Saturday. Let's show the people of Baton Rouge, our local fire and rescue department and Fire Chief Pat Wilson some Cougar Nation love.
Needed Supplies that can be dropped off at NHS:
MREs, Tape Measures, Heavy Duty Contractor Trash Bags, Safety Glasses,N95 Masks, Personal Hygiene Items (unopened deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash, shampoo, etc),Work Gloves, Diapers, Medical Gloves, Baby Wipes, Pet Food, Chalk Lines
