Norm-referenced tests are designed to measure how a
student’s performance compares with the scores of other
students who took the test for norming purposes.
· Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS)
2. Criterion-referenced tests
Criterion-referenced tests are designed to measure how
thoroughly a student has learned a particular body of
Knowledge without regard to how well other students have
learned it.
· CRCT (Criterion Referenced Competency Test)
