Important Information Regarding Registration:
-
If a
child is being enrolled for the first time in a
Coweta County school, parents should call and
stop by the school for registration at the
earliest possible date with a child's birth
certificate and proof of residency documents to
begin the process. The school can then work with
parents to obtain other documents as needed.
-
If you
reside with another person/persons and do not
have your own proofs of residency, an affidavit
of residency must be completed at Coweta County
School’s Central Office at 237 Jackson Street in
Newnan, Monday through Friday between 8:00
-12:00 noon and 2:00 - 4:00 pm. In order to
obtain an affidavit:
-
The parent and the person with whom the
parent is living must both go to the Central
Office.
-
The person with whom the parent is living
must provide a photo I.D.
-
A
copy of his/her lease or deed, showing the
street address and name of resident must be
provided.
Should
you have any questions regarding this affidavit,
please call Ms. Pat Nixon at
770-254-2802.
-
You
must actually reside in your home in the
school’s attendance area. If you do not actually
occupy the property, but have a move-in date,
please contact the Superintendent’s office at
770-254-2802.
-
Immunization and health screenings can be
obtained from private physicians and from the
Coweta County Health Department, at 137 Jackson
Street in Newnan. The County Health Department
gives immunizations and screenings Monday
through Friday from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. and from
1:00 - 3:30 p.m. with no appointment necessary
at its Newnan office. For more efficient
service, bring copies of former immunization
records with you, and bring all pertinent
Medicaid information if applicable.
