The Western Elementary Guidance&Counseling program is an integral part of the total learning process. It is designed for all students and involves all school personnel. Based on the students' developmental needs, it is proactive and seeks to educate through classroom guidance, small groups, and individual counseling sessions. The goal of the counseling process is to facilitate in the process of learning, so that all students can meet with success.

Sometimes the learning process needs a helping hand. Your school counselor is someone you can count on; I am your friend and I am concerned about you as a person and as a student. Parents you are always welcome! If you have some concerns and would like to talk with the school counselor please call Crysti Nix at 770-254-2790.The counseling and guidance program offers students and parents an opportunity to meet with the counselor to discuss healthy growth and development, behavioral, academic, social, and personal concerns. Follow up counseling can be arranged to set goals toward a positive and helpful outcome.
