D-Day

The date of D-Day was June 6, 1944. D-Day (Domination Day) was held on the beaches of Omaha Beach, Gold Beach, Juno Beach, and Sword Beach. These beaches were all part of Normandy Beach, France. Over 130,000 soldiers landed on the beaches. About 10,000 casualties counting dead, wounded, and missing. The purpose of D-Day was to liberate France.
