Book Check out for Students Books are circulated to the students for periods of two weeks at a time. Students in grades 2-5 may check out two books at a time. Pre-K and K students may check out one book at time. All students visiting the media center should have their Accelerated Reading Log folder provided by the media center. Overdue Policies Notices will be sent to students who have overdue books. No fines will be imposed for overdue books. However, if students continually ignore these notices, it will be assumed the book is lost, and students will be expected to pay for the lost items. Any students who lose library books will be expected to pay for the lost items. The fine for the lost book depends on the current cost of the book. Report cards will not be sent home at the end of the year unless all charges have been paid. Students withdrawing while owing money for lost or damaged books should have the amount owed and the name of the item written on the withdrawal slip. No records will be forwarded or report cards issued until the account has been settled. |
