What's happening in 1st Grade REACH? Thinking skills are an essential foundation for students in the REACH program. Primary Education Thinking Skills (PETS) is a curriculum designed to promote higher level thinking skills. PETS will be used throughout the year to help 1st grade REACH students form a strong foundation in critical thinking. Postcards from Dr. Seuss is a unit based on Bloom's and Williams Taxonomy that will also be taught in 1st grade. It also encourages critical thinking along with creativity.
Accelerated Reader 1st grade REACH students will be setting Accelerated Reader goals and taking A.R. tests all year as part of their REACH expectations! Encourage reading for pleasure!
