Stan McMichael

We welcome Mr. Stan McMichael as our Assistant principal. The webmaster met with Stan recently to gather information to share with you.

Mr. McMichael grew up here in Newnan. He holds a degree from Georgia State University and some other schools.

While in college and for a while after college he worked at Zoo Atlanta in the Education Department. He also worked with Rhinos. He loved it! Later he worked at Austin Road Elementary School and Austin Road Middle School in Henry County. He taught 5th grade. He was Head Football Coach and Head Wrestling Coach at the middle school. He taught 4th grade for 8 years at Jefferson Parkway Elementary School. He was Assistant Principal at Northside Elementary School for 2 years. This is his first year at Western Elementary School.

Mr. McMichael is married to Larisa McMichael. She is a librarian. Her father is also a librarian. Mr. and Mrs. McMichael have one daughter, Dinara.

When asked about his interests, Mr. McMichael said, "I like to read, run, draw, juggle and play outside."
