All about Welch
Bobby Welch Elementary School was established in 2006. Welch is one of nineteen elementary schools within the Coweta County School System.

Welch Elementary School is
named for Mr. Bobby Welch who was an employee of the Coweta County School System (CCSS) for 32 years. He began his career in 1962
as a Teacher at Elm Street Elementary & Newnan Junior High, became Principal of Arnco-Sargent
Elementary, Elm Street Elementary, and Western High School and finally retired as the Superintendant for the School
System in 1994.
The Welch family have been residents of Coweta County for over 46 years. Currently Mr. Bobby Welch and his
wife Geraldine live in Newnan. They have two children and five grandchildren.
