Message from the Principal

Winston Dowdell Academy is an alternative placement program which provides a structured learning environment where students exhibiting serious disciplinary problems or chronic behavioral difficulties can continue their education.  The placement of these students therefore provides students, teachers, and administrators in base schools the opportunity to learn, teach, and supervise within a safe and productive school environment.

The faculty and staff at Winston Dowdell Academy are dedicated to providing students a supportive environment in which they can improve their academic and behavioral performance as well as to facilitate the student with regard to improving self-concepts and a positive perception of societal roles and responsibilities.
