Brown vs. The Board of Education

                 (1954)

Brown vs. the Board of Education  happened when African Americans tried to get rid of segregation in public schools. Many people tried to do this, but failed. Linda Brown was an  African American girl attending fifth grade in the public schools in Topeka, Kansas.  She was denied admission into a white elementary school. This involved 4 states and Washington D.C.. The NAACP took her case. This had the whole nation in a big debate. Then Congress ratified the 14th amendment on May17th, 1954.

If you don't know Lucy is a whiny Red Head. When her husband (Ricky) would always say

Her son was named Little Ricky and in real life Lucy and Ricky had Little Ricky and a daughter. Lucy's name was Lucile Ball. But her name on the show was Lucy Ricardo. You know the drill if you want to go to a different site click.
