The French and Indian War
The French and Indian War lasted from 1754 to 1763.The battle was fought mostly in Canada. It was fought because the French moved onto the British's land. The British saw this as an attack and fought back.

The British Imperial Policy and The Stamp Act
The British Imperial policy was what Britain was doing to the colonies and imposing on them. The Stamp Act was one of the things the King was imposing on them. This law was passed by the British Parliament during the ministry of George Grenville in 1765.It stated that the American colonies must pay a tax, or certain extra amount of money on all paper goods such as newspapers, pamphlets, legal documents, commercial bills, advertisements, and other paper issued products.
