That Big Old Bell

 

                  The Liberty Bell is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in Independence Hall.  It is a very important monument of America. People come from all over the world to see it. The Liberty Bell is known to be the ring that changed the world. The Liberty Bell was rung when the thirteen colonies declared their independence from England. Gettysburg Pennsylvania

 

          Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is a very important place in America. Gettysburg is known for mostly two things. The Battle of Gettysburg and the Gettysburg Address. I bet you couldn't guess where the Battle of Gettysburg took place. No it wasn't in Malaysia; in fact it was in Gettysburg...could you believe that? The Battle of Gettysburg was one of the bloodiest battles in the world. The Battle of Gettysburg was fought in the Civil War. That battle lasted for 3 days straight. The Battle of Gettysburg was a very rough battle. Click here to learn more about it.

         The Gettysburg Address was a speech that was spoken by Abraham Lincoln about the people of the Civil War. Abraham Lincoln spoke about how our founding fathers found this land and how all men are created equal and how the war is breaking up all that this country stands for. The Gettysburg Address was a very quick speech. It was around 3 minutes long. When photographers came they didn't even get a chance to take a picture. 

        

 

Historic Philadelphia  

 

        Historic Philadelphia is an amazing place in America. It is located in Pennsylvania. Many important documents, monuments, and places are in Historic Philadelphia. The Declaration of Independence was signed there, Betsy Ross's house is there, Old City Hall is there, Congress Hall is there, the house where President Washington and President Adams stayed when Philadelphia was the capital of the US is there, the National Constitution Center is there, Christ Church Burial Ground is there, the first bank of America is there, the Bishop White House is there, China Town is there, Library hall is there, Washington Square is there, and much, much more.
