Is one of the most poisonous snakes in the world.
Can grow to be almost 18 feet long.
Is part of the Elapidae family.
Diet is mainly consisted of other snakes.
Lives in Africa and South Asia.
Cannot hear so it finds its food smelling body heat and using its eyes.
The hood of the King Cobra helps warn predators it might strike at any moment.
The Coral Snake

The Coral Snake is another poisonous snake.

"Red
touches yellow it could kill a fellow.
Red touches black he's a friend of Jack."
That phrase Is based on the Coral Snake because the Coral Snake has the colors red, black , and yellow.

Feeds mostly on lizards and other snakes.

Can grow to be 3 feet long.
Has lungs with valves to help it stay under water for up to 8 hours.
Lives in the Indian and Pacific oceans.
Bears live young.
Is prey to sea birds and sharks.
Feeds on smaller fish.
Rarely bites humans.
The Water Moccasin

Is a very venomous snake.
Grows to be 3 to 4 feet long.
Is an olive or blackish color.
Is also part of the Crotalidae family.
Sometimes relaxes on branches overhanging the water.
Lives in the swamps of the southern United States.
Also gives birth to live young.

Is part of the Crotlidae family like the Water Moccasin.
Is one of the poisonous new world snakes.
Grows to be 3 1/2 to 5feet long.
Lives in the South and Southeastern United States and in south Maine.
Another type of the Rattle Snake is found in the United States and in Mexico.
Has heat -sensitive organs in the sides of his head.

Is part of the Cotalidae family.
Can grow to be 8 to 12 feet long.
Is one of the biggest venomous snakes.
Is gray and brown and has a diamond pattern on its body.
Does not lay eggs but bears live young.
Lives in Central America and North and South America.
Is classified as the largest new world snake.
