TORNADOS   

    In a tornado there is hail, rain, thunder,  lightning, and dark clouds. If all of that has a funnel in the middle watch out! That is a tornado. If you are in a car, get out! I know it might sound crazy, but you need to get out. Go find a ditch to lay in. It's the best thing to do. If you are in a house get in a closet. You will want some blankets, batteries, flashlight, pillows, maybe some books and a battery radio. The tornado can be dark gray, black, red, or yellowish. The tornado is started when cold and warm air meet. The warm air is lighter so it rises ghastly. The air spins or twists, then forms a funnel. It is very dangerous. The funnel spins extremely fast. The speed of wind around the funnel can reach up to 300 m.p.h.

If you are in school follow the teacher's directions. You will go in to the hall, squat down and cover your head.

FLOODS

The current of a flood can be so fast that it can carry cars down the street and smack them in to buildings. A flood picks up everything in its path. A flood is a river created on land by rain. 

Did you know that floods happen every year? I did! This is how: rain falls, and almost  all of it evaporates or is soaked up by plants.  The flood problem happens when the rain is falling so fast the earth can't soak up the water.  So it rises, and the water flows in to a  body of water.  The body of water  rises swiftly. and that is what makes up a flood.

THUNDER STORMS

Thunder storms include rain, thunder (I think you knew that), and sometimes lightning. Thunder can have high and low pitches. It can sound like a crack of a gun. Others can sound like a giant singing as low as he can sing. Heavy rain from thunderstorms can take you to a flash flood. Thunderstorms mostly occur in spring and summer. That is because in spring and summer it is hot. The warm and cold air come together. The hot air expands and cracks.
