The suffrage was the protests for women's

rights.

Women won the battle in 1920

Many other countries had Women`s suffrages  ere

 

 

 

The Fight

It took a long and hard fight....but in 1920 women were granted the right to vote by Woodrow Wilson.

Now women are athletes, business women, and SO much more. Women have all the rights men do now.  

 

Odd facts

Many women were thrown into all women's jails.

Many gave them food with worms inside.

It was a VERY VIOLENT battle. 

Many women were killed!!!

Some women went out in the freezing weather to protest.

In the Cherokee Indian tribe the women were in charge!

The amendment that granted Women's vote was the 19th

Thomas Paine, writer of Common Sense supported women's voting.

Eleanor Roosevelt insisted that only women interview her therefore widening women's reporting jobs!
