THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE AND OTHER MYSTERIES

The Bermuda Triangle
The BERMUDA TRIANGLE [also called DEVILS TRIANGLE] has become known for its mysterious disappearances and disasters. Its triangular shaped area covers 440,000 square miles from the island of Bermuda, to Puerto Rico, to the southern tip of Florida. Some trace the mystery back to the age of Columbus. Even so, estimates range from about 1000 to no less than 200 incidents in the past 500 years. In the 1970's the U.S. Coast Guard answered more than 8,000 distress calls in the area, and more than 20 planes and 50 ships have gone down in the Triangle within the last 100 years.

UFO'S
On Sunday evening, February 29, 2004, NUFORC National UFO Reporting Center received a telephoned report from a family in Brooklyn, MD, who claimed that they had witnessed a disc-shaped object just outside their house. They rushed to the window, opened the drapes, and witnessed a brightly lighted disc, hovering within an estimated 10 meters of their window. After 5-10 seconds, the disc began moving away from the home slowly, and then accelerated at a breath-taking speed. Other neighbors reportedly also witnessed the event.
Stories like these bring the excitement to the possibility that there might be life beyond earth.
UFO'S are Unidentified Flying Objects, which could be anything between a big bird and a flying saucer. People mostly think these images are aliens or flying saucers, but many theories have been made about aliens and UFO'S. Just go to this website and go to Is Anybody Listening to see the video. UFO's have boggled the minds of scientists for many years. That's why they're a world wide mystery.
THE LOCH NESS MONSTER
The Loch Ness Lake is located in the North of Scotland. For many years it has been supposed that there is a large prehistoric-like "monster" living in Loch Ness. The proof of its existence is a number of sightings of a plesiosaur-like dinosaur throughout the last century. The case has occasionally been supported by questionable photo evidence. However, several scientific studies and experiments have been conducted, including thorough sonar surveys of the lake, and these have not shown any presence of such a "creature". Many people believe that the size and great depth of the loch ness, together with underwater caves and crevices, gives the monster many places to hide. Regardless of the real truth, the suggestion of the Monster's presence and /or existence makes Loch Ness one of Scotland's top tourist attractions.
