The Executive Branch
For a long time now people all over the world have stood up to governments they were afraid of.
In 1776 colonists of the British colonies decided to declare independence from Great Britain.
To do this, they wrote a document called the Declaration of Independence.
The Constitution is a document that tells how the United States is governed.
The Constitution was written by representatives of the thirteen states.
Representatives of the 13 colonies risked their lives to sign the Declaration of Independence.
The Executive Branch
This branch is made up of the president, vice president, executive office and the cabinet which is made up of all the government's departments.
The president is the leader of the executive branch.
The executive branch makes laws which, of course, have to be approved by the leader [or President].
The executive branch is very important to the National Government.
The Judicial Branch
The Supreme court is the main part of the Judicial Branch.
