Dear Parents:

The summer vacation is over, the fall is beginning, welcome back to a new beginning.
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to school for what promises to be an exciting and successful year.

This year we wish to welcome the following new staff members:

Mrs. Julie Durrance Assistant Principal
Dr. Penny Thomas Music Teacher
Dr. Joya Carter-Hicks Resource Teacher

Our theme for the year is “Putting the Pieces Together.” A puzzle can be very complex with many integral pieces; one missing piece could cause a masterpiece to be incomplete. We appreciate you entrusting us as educators to help teach and mold your children in our efforts to put their educational puzzle together. Your role as parents is a major piece of the puzzle and we look forward to building a strong school/home alliance.

As the principal of Thomas Crossroads Elementary (TCE), I am honored and proud to serve the students, families and staff of TCE. On behalf of the Thomas Crossroads staff, we extend a warm welcome to all children and families returning and joining us for the 2008-2009 school year.

In closing, please spend the necessary time to review our school handbook with your child(ren) to ensure they have a firm understanding of policies, procedures, and general information. It is essential that you and your child(ren) read and abide by these guidelines to help maintain a safe and orderly learning environment. I am confident that this year will prove to our best yet!
