Standardized Testing Schedule

ITBS (8th grade students) Sept. 21-25

The Iowa Test of Basic Skills is a norm-referenced test that will assess students' academic achievement thus far in his/her school career. Information regarding how the performance of Georgia students compares with that of students in a national sample will be obtained and utilized in planning instructional programs.

MGWA (8th grade students) January 20

The Middle Grades Writing Assessment consists of an evaluation of the student's response to an assigned writing prompt.

CRCT (6th, 7th, and 8th grade students) April 19 - 23

The Criterion Referenced Competency Test includes items in the following content areas: Reading, English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. These tests are based on the State's Quality Core Curriculum. The CRCT is designed to measure the knowledge and skills taught in Georgia classrooms and assess how well students have learned a specific curriculum.
