Georgia Teacher of the Year Finalist

Congratulations Clay Hildebrand!

Clay Hildebrand, sixth grade math teacher at Smokey Road Middle School, has been named as a finalist for Georgia Teacher of the Year after being named 2007 SRMS Teacher of the Year.

Mr. Hildebrand is the 2008 Coweta County Teacher of the Year, after being chosen as Smokey Road's top teacher by his peers. He was named as one of 10 finalists for 2009 state Teacher of the Year (TOTY) by State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox.

Mr. Hildebrand is the second teacher from Smokey Road Middle School to be named one of the 10 finalists. The first was Pam Brown, Engineering and Technology Education teacher, in 2001.
