Gabriela Bump, 8th grade art student at Smokey Road Middle School, recently placed 2nd at the Beta Club Convention Art Contest with her acrylic painting of a whimsical sea scene.  She has also placed 2 consecutive years at a state level in the PTA Reflections contest.  The first year she participated in the Reflections contest, she won 1st in state, the following year, she won 2nd in state.  Gabriela also received awards for her entries in the Georgia National Fair competition, a wire sculpture and a painting both received 1st place blue ribbons.
