REMINDER: 8th grade students must pass the Reading, Language Arts and Math portions of the CRCT to be promoted to the 9th grade.

Getting Started
1. Be sure ALL pop-up blockers are turned off.
2. To access the Online Assessment System (OAS), go to the following address:

3. Students will be provided with login information at school. Login information can not be posted on the website.
4. Here is a copy of the Student Quick Start Guide. (This is a PDF file.)

National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)
The NAEP Questions Tool provides easy access to NAEP questions, student responses, and scoring guides that are released to the public. Both national and state data, where appropriate, are presented.

This website contains released test forms for the CRCT from the following years: 2000, 2001, and 2002. All CRCT forms are posted intact, just as students saw them with the exception of items used for linking or field test purposes.

  • Go to http://www.gadoe.org .
  • Move your mouse over “Curriculum” at the top of the page and click on “Testing” from the drop-down menu.
  • Click on the link “CRCT" in the Primary Assessments box.
  • In the blue box labeled CRCT Resources located on the right side of the screen, click on ">> More."
  • Click on the link titled “Released Test Forms.”
  • Click “Open” when the pop-up dialog box appears.
  • Read the information provided.
  • Scroll down and click on any test you wish to preview or use as a practice.

You have the opportunity to "sign up" for this website for a free trial if you are insterested in using it for home use with your students.
This website offers many short practice tests for each grade level and subject.

  • Click on the state of Georgia .
  • Username: cowetaga (If you register, you will be given a new username.)
  • Password: preview (If you register, you will be given a new password.)
  • Click on the link “Click here to access quizzes.”
  • Click on “CRCT Test Prep.”
  • Click on your grade.
  • Click on your subject.
  • You will see a selection of several tests with a brief description of each. Select the test you want to take.
  • The test page will open and you will need to fill in your name and your parent's email address.
  • Take the test.
  • Click “Score” to see the results of your test.

Test Taking Tips from SRMS

  • Throughout the year:
    • Come to school
    • Participate in class
    • Ask questions
    • Do your homework
    • Study
  • The day of the test:
    • Get a good night's sleep
    • Don't skip breakfast
    • Come to school and arrive on time - try not to miss school on test days
    • Have a positive attitude
    • Be prepared - if your teacher tells you to supply your own #2 pencil, be sure you have 2 pencils sharepened and ready to go
  • Taking the test:
    • Read the directions carefully
    • Read each question carefully
    • Relax and take a deep breath - try not to worry or panic
    • Eliminate answers you know are wrong
    • Mark the BEST answer for the question
    • Use a separate piece of paper to calculate math problems
    • Pace yourself and do not rush but also don't spend too much time on any one question - move to the next question and come back to any question you skipped after you finish
    • Double check your answers
    • Do your best!
