FERST Foundation Coin Drive
The FERST Foundation collects money to purchase books for preschool students to get them ready to read when they enter school.
Our School System partners with the FERST Foundation each year to help supply books to future Coweta County Students.

We are so proud of our teachers and our students for the performance on this year's Georgia Milestones Assessment!
This year our students made gains in every area tested by the Georgia Milestones Assessment. In reading, we grew 20 percent from last school year and made the most gains of any school in the school system. Additionally, Our 3rd grade outperformed 14 of 19 schools in the system in reading and grew by almost 30 percentage points from last year. In 4th and 5th grade, we grew by 15% from last school year.
In math, our 3rd grade grew 26 percent and our 5th grade grew an outstanding 42 percent from last year. Our 3rd grade outperformed 15 other schools in the system, placing us in the top 5 schools in the system, scoring 13 points higher than the system average. Our 5th grade outperformed 8 other schools in the school system. Both our 3rd and 5th grades had the highest growth of any elementary school in the system.
In social studies, we grew 21 percent from last school year and had had the highest gains of any school in the system.
In science this year, we grew by almost 30 percent from last school year. We outperformed 7 other elementary schools in the district.
Check out our performance on School Digger! We jumped 494 places in one year, are in the top 500 schools in the state, and ranked better than 58.6% of elementary schools in the state of Georgia!

Know someone interested in earning his or her GED? Night classes hosted by West Georgia Tech will begin at Ruth Hill Elementary on August 14th. Classes will be offered on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 5:30-8:30 right here at Ruth Hill. If you are interested, you can email Dianne.mcconnell@westgatech.
Ruth Hill has partnered with CLICK to offer English classes for adults who speak another language and would like to learn how to speak English.
Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00-11:00 am in Ruth Hill Elementary School's Counseling Center.
Classes start the week of August 21st! The class will be 8 weeks long and last until October 22nd.
