Biography

Lt Col Glenn Broadnax

 Colonel Broadnax is retired from the United States Air Force with over 20 years of active duty service.  When entering active duty service he served in the enlisted ranks as a personnel specialist at Robins AFB GA achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant.  He was selected as the Personnel Specialist of the Year for AFLC in 1973.  Upon completion of Officers Training School he served on active duty service in the security police career field in Michigan, Korea, Georgia, the Mediterranean (classified location), and Nebraska.  He resigned his regular commission and served in the U. S. Air Force Reserve in Georgia and Arkansas in the security police career field as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) in the security police career field.  In 1988 he was selected as the Reserve IMA Officer of the Year for AFLC and the Reserve IMA Officer of the Year for the entire U. S. Air Force.  He returned to active military service (statutory tour officer) as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Recruiting, HQ Fourteenth Air Force, Dobbins ARB GA. In this capacity, he was in charge of all recruiting activities for the Air Force Reserve for the eastern United States. He was later reassigned to Randolph AFB TX as the PROMIS II Software Program Manager.   He was responsible for the development of software to automate the enlistment package for new inductees into the Air Force Reserve.  In his last duty assignment he served as the Chief of Advertising, Resources, and Budget for HQ Air Force Reserve Recruiting.  He was responsible for production of all advertising projects including television, radio, billboard, print, and Internet.  He managed a $26M budget, a 187 recruiting vehicle fleet, communications, and all leased recruiting offices through the Corps of Engineers.  Prior to his retirement, he was recognized for developing the best web site in AFLC and the entire United States Air Force.

His military decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Air Force Recognition Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon with one device, National Defense Service Medal with one device, Air Force Longevity Service Award with five devices, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon with device, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with seven devices, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award with two devices, and Overseas Short Tour Ribbon. 

 Colonel Broadnax has an Associate’s degree in Education from Middle Georgia College, a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Georgia College, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Georgia College, and all coursework completed for a Doctoral degree in Education at the University of Georgia where he compiled a 4.0 GPA.  He is a graduate of Squadron Officers School, Air Command & Staff College, and Air War College.

 Colonel Broadnax has two daughters, Susan a contractor at Robins AFB GA and Jessica an honors student at Northside High School in Warner Robins, GA.
