in the Earth’s atmosphere increasing the
drag on the
Skylab

an orbit 69
miles above sea

- on July 12, 1979 it disintegrated and fell back into the atmosphere
- 2 parts weighting 2 tons fell in
the desert of Australia
with no injuries
