Mr. Don Chapman

F-4 Phantom Pilot Extraordinaire!

Mr. Don Chapman, retired Navy pilot and Delta Captain visited our class on October 5, 2009.  Mr. Chapman served for six years in the US Navy and in the Vietnam War.  He flew from the USS Constellation and did 199 mission over North Vietnam.  Mr. Chapman explained to us the variety of missions that he participated in, how to dodge a SAM missile and what life on board an aircraft carrier is like.  He also told us about his elusive chase to splash a MIG.  Great stuff Mr. Chapman- and thank you for coming and thank you for your service!!!
