What is Civics?

Civics is the study of citizenship and government.  Highlighted areas will be the three branches of the federal government, the Constitution, political parties and elections, as well as state and local government.  Civics will be taught in the ninth grade for a full term (18 weeks) which will allow for in depth instruction in government and citizenship.  This course is required for graduation.
