Abby’s Angels: The Abby’s Angels Foundation is sponsoring its 4th Annual Rainbow Run & Family Fun Day on Saturday, 4/22. In partnership with Communities in Schools, registration forms are available from Ms. Edwards or Ms. McKnight in the CIS office. Beta Club: Regular meeting this Friday, 4/14 before OR after school in room 916. Any student with an unweighted 90 or above grade point average interested in joining Beta Club next year may pick up an application in the bottom of the 900 bldg or the 100 office. Applications are due back on 5/19.
CEC Film Production Club: This Wednesday’s meeting has been moved to Thursday, 4/13 at 4:20 p.m. in room 506 at CEC.
Chess Club: Meeting tomorrow, 4/12 right after school in room 703 to discuss a chess tournament against East Coweta. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
FCA: The Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets regularly on Thursday mornings at 7:50 a.m. in the AV room. All are welcome to attend!
French Club: Members who are helping with Spring Fling today, 4/11 will meet on the baseball field at 5:15 p.m. Members are also reminded to bring in Easter candy by Thursday.
Lunch Charges: Please pay your outstanding lunch charges! No one can “charge” lunch fees through the last day of school.
Media Center: Closed today, 4/11 during 3rd block!
Northgate High: We are hosting Northgate High School’s production of 9 to 5! the musical, with music by Dolly Parton, based on the late 70’s hit movie. Performances are this Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in our auditorium and tickets are $12 at the door. Come support our neighbors from across the county!
National Honor Society: Last monthly meet is today, 4/11 right after school in the Main Café.
Spring Fling: To bring attention to Organ Donation Awareness Month (April) our Student Ambassadors are hosting a family-friendly, carnival event with free admission today, 4/11 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the baseball field.
Softball: Girls interested in trying out for softball should attend a meeting next Tuesday, 4/18 at 3:40 p.m. in room 1043.
City of Newnan Youth Council: The deadline to turn in applications for next year’s City of Newnan Youth Council is this Friday, 4/14.
Gordon College: A rep will be here Thursday, 4/13 during all lunches in the 100 conference room. Sign up in advance with Mrs. Sweatman in the counseling office.
Cap & Gown Orders: If you haven’t ordered yours yet, the price is now $92. Orders are accepted in the counseling office. Make checks payable to Balfour.
Senior Panoramic Photo: All seniors should report to the New Gym this Thursday, 4/13, morning carrying his/her cap and gown. Seniors should follow dress code similar to graduation night. Females should be dressed in white (dress or pants/shirt) and males should be dressed in dark or khaki pants with a solid, light colored shirt with a collar.
Parking: If you park anywhere in the perimeter of NHS you must have a current parking pass which is sold in the 100 Office. To avoid getting a ticket you must also be parked in a legal parking spot. All numbered spots, areas in front of gates and dumpsters, and grass are off limits to students. The gated parking area across from the 9th grade parking lot is federal property. You will be towed if you park in there.
