Abby’s Angels: The Abby’s Angels Foundation is sponsoring its 4th Annual Rainbow Run & Family Fun Day on Saturday, 4/22. In partnership with Communities in Schools, registration forms are available from Ms. Edwards or Ms. McKnight in the CIS office. Band: Congratulations to our Symphonic Winds who are performing today at the Music For Southeastern Regional Concert Festival at the Rialto Theatre in Atlanta. This opportunity was awarded to the band through an intense audition and selection process and we are thrilled that they were granted such an elite performance opportunity.
Chess Club: Meeting today, 3/22 right after school in room 703.
FCA: The Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets regularly on Thursday mornings at 7:50 a.m. in the AV room. All are welcome to attend!
History Dept: The History Department will host an "Military Enlistee Celebration Night" on Tuesday, 4/11 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. All seniors who have signed with the armed forces and those who are going to one of the military academy's are invited to attend this night in honor of their future service to our county. Please see Coach Garner in room 208 by Friday, 3/31 if you plan to be part of this event.
Lunch Charges: Please pay your lunch charges!! Students who have large outstanding balances will be given an alternative lunch until payment has been made.
Newnan Ambassadors: Applications for next school year are due back to Dr. Hurston or Mrs. Turner TOMORROW, 3/24.
PROM: Juniors and seniors may pay PROM fees to Mrs. Sweet in room 108. The current fee of $55 for juniors/seniors WILL GO UP TO $65 AFTER NEXT FRIDAY, 3/31. The fee is $50 for “dates” who are not juniors/seniors at NHS. All outstanding fees (school/café) must be paid or you will not be allowed to attend the Prom. Prom fees are non-refundable.
The National Honor Society is hosting a second date for their PROM “Say Yes to the Dress” event Wednesday/Thursday, 3/29-30. Students are invited to visit Mrs. Cornwell’s room, 96, before or after school to try on a beautiful selection of gently used formal wear all available for FREE!

ASVAB: Scores are in and can be picked up in the counseling office.
City of Newnan Youth Council: Applications for next year’s City of Newnan Youth Council are available in the 9th grade office. You must be a sophomore next school year to apply, and the deadline is Friday, 4/14.
Cap & Gown Orders: Pick yours up in the Counseling office at your earliest convenience. If you have not ordered yours yet, the current price is $82 (checks payable to Balfour). You may place your order in the counseling office.
Graduation Signs: Order forms are now available from Coach Lisa Morris in room 1127 or the Principal’s Office in the main building. The price is still $20 but this year there are two design choices. The deadline to order is Friday, 3/31.
Scholarships: There are NEW scholarships for seniors in the counseling office.
Senior Signature Shirts: It’s not too late to order a Senior Signature shirt. Due to huge response a second order will be placed soon. Pick up an order form from Mrs. Hodges in room 912 or the Principal’s Office. This last order is due Thursday, 3/30.
Parking: If you park anywhere in the perimeter of NHS you must have a current parking pass which is sold in the 100 Office. To avoid getting a ticket you must also be parked in a legal parking spot. All numbered spots, areas in front of gates and dumpsters, and grass are off limits to students. The gated parking area across from the 9th grade parking lot is federal property. You will be towed if you park in there.
