MOVIE PROJECT: HOLLYWOOD VS. HISTORY

• Pick a Movie that is BIOFICTIONAL. (It must me approved by me and your parents.)

• You are then to watch the movie and choose no less that 25 important facts, people, dates, events that take place in the movie. Following this you are to research the Truth about the events portrayed in the movie. You are to then compare and contrast HOLLYWOOD VS. HISTORY. This can be done on a tri fold poster board, a power point presentation, or a traditional research paper. For each there are certain criteria.

• Tri-Fold: must have a minimum of 5 pictures/25 Hollywood facts from the movie and 25 facts from your research. You will present your findings to the class in a presentation no less than 3-5 minutes long. No reading from the board, you should be prepared.

• PowerPoint Presentation: must have a minimum of 5 picture slides and 25 Hollywood facts and 25 History facts. You will present your findings to the class in a presentation no less than 3-5 minutes long. No reading from the board, you should be prepared.

• Research Paper: You must write a well formatted, grammatically correct research paper. It should be no less than 5-7 pages double spaced. It must be documented and contain at least 5 pictures, that do not count toward the papers length. The margins are to be one inch and the font no larger than 12 point, no bold or italics.

**You must also have a timeline with 15-20 events that took place within 20 years of your movies time period**

**You may show a brief clip from your movie on teacher approval**
