Miss Czech Republic Moves up to Miss World 2006
Just this past November 25th, eighteen year old Tatana Kucharova was crowned Miss World in the 2006 beauty pageant. The two hour ceremony was held in the Palace of Culture in Warsaw, Poland. Kucharova received her diamond crown from Miss World 2005, Unnyr Birna Vilhjalmosdottir of Iceland. The blonde haired student from the Czech Republic grew up in the town of Opocno. Competing with Kucharova was first runner up Joana Valentina Boitor, a seventeen year old from Romania, and second runner up twenty year old Sabrina Houssami from Australia. Ms. Tatana Kucharova's personal motto is "Always be an optimist." Her future plans include college and later having a career in professional modeling.
