Spotlight: Treasurer Chris Watts
In an earlier issue I introduced the officers of the Student Government Association. In this article, I would like to do a spotlight on the Treasurer, Chris Watts. I asked her a few questions, and the following is a result of our conversation:
What inspired you to get involved in school activities?
"I wanted to heighten my high school experience and make a difference in the community."
What other extracurricular activities are you involved in?
"I am Vice President of the Beta Club, a member of the National Honor Society and French Club."
What is the most important advice you would give to students or that you have been given?
"Honest is the best policy."
What is a quote that you live by?
"In the depths of winter, I finally found in me an invincible summer."
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
"In ten years, I see myself graduated with bachelors and masters degrees in social work, possibly working for an adoption agency or DFACS."
What do you plan to get out of your whole experience in being NHS Student Government Association Treasurer?
"I want to gain the courage of speaking in front of people with more ease."
