Newnan Girls Soccer Defeats Hiram

On Wednesday, March 28th, the Newnan girls' soccer team defeated the Hiram Hornets to win the region.

The girls won by a score of 6 - 0. The win improves the Lady cougars' record to 10 - 4. The Lady Cougars had a 6 - 0 undefeated record in the region. They also clinched the first seed in the playoffs. It is also the first time that a girls team from Coweta County has won the Region Championship.

The Lady Cougars' first round playoff game will be played at home due to the first place region finish.

Their next game was Tuesday, April 10th, against Starrs Mill.
