Character Education Week

First block classes, Character Education Week is here. The week officially starts the February 12. This week there will be many activities taking place to represent the Character Education words for the week.

The words chosen to be used are: citizenship, patience, cooperation, kindness, punctuality, (school) pride, patriotism, and respect for the natural environment. The first block class can take one word--or all eight words--and do a project to illustrate the word(s). When the class has picked the words and projects, they will complete activity forms (one per project) and turn them in to Mrs. Bowden in the principal's office.

The end of the month there will be a drawing for the eight character education words. One first block class will be chosen for each characteristic. The classes that win will receive juice and donuts. There will be another award chosen by the principal call the Principal's Award. The Principal's Award will be given to the class that has the most original idea to demonstrate their word or words. The class that wins the Principal's Award will receive Chick-Fil-A biscuits.

The classes should start as soon as possible and put their best efforts forward to demonstrate Character Education Week.
