Peace Rally

On March 17th, people against the war in Iraq gathered to protest the war. The protest took place at 1:00 p.m. on the Newnan courthouse square and consisted of approximately 30 people. The participants held signs that said, "Troops Out Now."

The people who protested used the slogan "Not One More Death--Not One More Dollar." The protesters want a deadline or timetable for when the troops in Iraq will be withdrawn. The protesters also supported the legislature of the national congress to limit the spending in Iraq to the safe withdrawal of troops before the end of the year.
