Rain Is Good
Lake levels have risen steadily in 2007. January's rain has been great for the local water departments. January puts Coweta ahead of the average rainfall. A gauge on Gordon road measured 2.24 inches from sunday to Monday of last week. We had a 10 percent jump from January 1st through the 8th and a 9 percent jump the week of the 8th through the 15th. Lakes are estimated to be full in three weeks, which is good because water usage increases in March. The water department is grateful for all the January rain.
