Coach Marty has taught business management, business law, economics, and computer applications. He is currently teaching business management and business law.

Coach Marty chose to come to the city of Newnan because he liked the way it was being developed. It provides a combination of an established city downtown and an area with a lot of new development.

Coach Marty has run in many marathons, and to be precise, he ran a 26.2 mile marathon five times and in three competitive races. He ran the Nashville Marathon in three hours and seventeen minutes; a time of only three hours and thirty minutes was required to qualify for the Boston Marathon. Once he made it to the Boston Marathon, he ran it in an impressive three hours and seven minutes.

Coach Marty says he has enjoyed coaching and teaching at Newnan High School, and he will miss it when he moves to Colorado this summer. He says he will miss working with the students, faculty, and administration at our high school.

An interesting fact about Coach Marty is that he loves to travel; he has visited Japan, China, Brazil, Argentina, and Luxemburg. When traveling, he always makes it a point to run the streets of whatever country he is visiting. Coach Marty says it gives him a chance to see how the people act in everyday life. He has eaten a lot of exotic food in the countries he has traveled, and one in particular that he remembers is fried rattlesnake in China. "It actually has a mild taste," he says.
