Ladder System
Schools in the state of Georgia are moving to a new system to educate students. The current system is best described as a "spiral" where students repeat material they learned in the previous grade. With the new system, Coweta County Elementary Coordinator Nancy Royal describes the system as a "ladder" system. In the ladder system, students learn and completely master the material before moving on to the next grade.
The new system is currently being used by elementary schools. The middle and high schools are in transition and should have the new system in place by the 2008 - 2009 school year. The new system is expected to help students learn crucial curriculum.
