John Michael Criswell

John Michael Criswell is in the twelfth grade and is currently taking A. P. Art, Teacher Cadet II, and Teacher Apprenticeship. His favorite class is A. P. Art. He feels that he gets a chance to express himself by doing many different advanced art projects.

John Michael is involved with the Teacher Apprenticeship program, and he says he thinks it is a great program. He feels it gives him the opportunity to be in a working environment where he can learn about the teaching profession. John Michael does not plan to pursue a teaching career, but he is appreciative of the program because he has learned not only about teaching but also about patience, compassion and discipline. If John Michael does decide to become a teacher, he would want to teach at a college level.

When John Michael graduates, he plans to attend Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. He plans to major in Music Business--Production and minor in Entertainment Industry Studio. John Michael's ultimate goal is to become a successful producer in the music industry.

John Michael is involved in a lot of activities and clubs at Newnan High School. He is the president of both National Honors society and Beta Club. John Michael is also in French Club, Key club, A-Team, Art Club, and Varsity Tennis.

John Michael enjoys playing tennis, guitar and piano as well as listening to music and drawing.

When asked where he saw himself in ten years, John Michael said that he can only hope he will be successful in whatever he is doing.

The thing that John Michael loves the most about Newnan High School is the energy and enthusiasm he and his peers bring to not only the campus during the school day but also to after school sports and activities. He loves the positive support students and teachers give to each other.
