The Harlem Jazz and Blues

On Sunday, February 4th, the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts will host The Harlem Jazz and Blues Concert. The show will be presented by the Coweta Community Foundation. The show will begin at 2:30 p.m., and the price of admission is $20 for adults and $15 for students and senior citizens. A Patron Package which includes a reception following the performance will be $70.

The Harlem Jazz and Blues Band was founded in 1973. The members of the band include John Miller-pianist, Art Baron-trombonist and composer, Fred Stanton-tenor saxophonist, Shelton Gary-percussionist, Michael Max Fleming-double bass, and Ruth Brisbane-vocalist. The group has performed in many musicals on Broadway as well as in London, Paris, and Moscow. The members have played with many famous people, such as Louis Armstrong.
