St. Hair is joining forces with the fight against cancer. They are honored to work with the women and men of our community who are currently undergoing treatment. The second Wednesday of every month from 9:00 to 11:00 AM the salon will provide Complimentary Conditioning Treatment, Complimentary Haircut, Demos on Scarf Wrapping and Wig Customization. The staff provides a caring environment to guide people through this transition time. Anyone interested should phone today to book the complimentary appointment. Drake Stadium Pavers
Join us in celebrating the rich heritage of Drake Stadium with the purchase of an engraved paver to be added to a special spirit section of the new stadium. Three choices of paver are offered: 4" by 8" with three lines of text, 8" by 8" with 6 lines of text, 8" by 8" paver with "N" logo and 4 lines of text. All pavers will be engraved and filled with a special filler to maintain its appearance for many years to come. Pavers can be purchased until May 25, 2012. Pavers will not be installed until the summer months of 2012. Replica pavers will also be available for purchase with any paver purchase. Roses and Thorns
Roses and Thorns is the section where students speak out about what they like and do not like, in essence, an opinion poll. Roses are given to the good things, and thorns are tendered to the not-so-good things.
Spotlight
"Spotlight" features teachers and students who stand out in various areas, from sports and academics to talents and activities outside of school. Our section incorporates students' ideas along with ideas of staff members on the Cougar Chronicles. Therefore, our section will vary from week to week as more students and faculty contribute.
Stand Out Student
"Stand Out Student" does not necessarily spotlight the best athlete or the student at the top of the class, but the student who excels in anything he or she does. Teachers and fellow students make recommendations for this section! The editors of "Spotlight" personally interview each recommendation and select students to be featured each week.
Teacher Feature
"Teacher Feature" highlights new teachers and outstanding teachers at NHS. It gives a chance for those new to school to introduce themselves and tell a little about their lives. It also recognizes teachers who do a lot for their students.
