Governors Honors Nominees
Two Newnan High School students have been named as nominees for the Governor's Honors. Braden Chancellor and Copeland Tucker have been chosen to attend the Governor's Honors Program this summer in Valdosta. Both of these young men were chosen in the area of Social Studies.
The Governor's Honors Program takes place in the summer, and it is an instructional program which has been put together to provide intellectually and artistically gifted students challenging and educational opportunities that may not be provided during the regular school year. The program is also a way for students to acquire the attitude and skills to be successful and independent in everyday life.
