Gates Committed to Defeating Taliban
Pentagon Chief Robert Gates has vowed to help protect Pakistan against threats from the Taliban. Gates plans to help Pakistan rid their country of all al-qaida. The Pakistani leader has admitted his country needs help keeping terrorists out of their borders.
America has pledged to help build up Pakistani defense. After the United States gave a pledge to help, Russia assaulted the United States' foreign policy. Gates flew to Russia to reduce tensions. Russia blamed the United States as the source of all other countries building up their nuclear arsenals. After a conference in which Gates stated foreign policy would soften, tension with Russia seemed to be soothed. The United States is now back on track to help Pakistan build up its defenses with money and increased outside aid.
