Mrs. Laura French

Mrs. Laura French has been teaching for eight years and actually developed and taught the Humanities Course in Kentucky. She currently teaches freshman and sophomore English.

Mrs. French attended two colleges and earned two different degrees. At the College of William and Mary, she received her Bachelor's Degree. When she attended the University of Kentucky, she received her Master's Degree.

When Mrs. French's husband decided to start a church in Newnan, she changed schools. "It was important to me to be able to teach in the community where I live. A high school especially is a vital part of any community and teaching where I live makes me feel more connected," says Mrs. French.

When Mrs. French is not grading papers, she enjoys cooking, reading, and sports. Mrs. French is a huge Kentucky basketball fan. She also like to watch Auburn football.

Mrs. French enjoys working with the faculty and students at Newnan High School. She believes if she is not animated and positive in class her students will not enjoy the subject as much. "I hope to be here a long time," Mrs. French says!
