Kate Gallagher

This week's featured student is Kate Gallagher. Kate is a junior here at NHS. She is actively involved in many clubs and excels in the classroom. She is currently taking Teacher Pipeline, French IV, AP Calculus, and AP U.S. History. Her favorite class is AP U.S. History because she is learning a lot and doing well in there.

Kate is the president of the French Club, Vice President of S.A.D.D., member of F.E.A., and plays soccer. She is on the honor roll for her academics and has played varsity soccer for two years. In 2008, Kate was on the all-region soccer team.

Kate is part of the Teacher Cadet Program at NHS. She plans to intern with Northside Elementary School because that is where she went to elementary school, and she likes the teachers who work there. Her duty as an intern is to do as much as she can to help the teachers and to work with the students. She hopes this opportunity will help her realize if teaching is the career she plans to pursue.

Outside of school, Kate enjoys running and playing tennis. She would love to visit Greece because she says it is a beautiful country and has nice beaches. Kate is considering attending Georgia, Auburn, Clemson, or GCSU for college because they all have good education departments.
