Coach Frank Henderson

This week's featured teacher is Coach Henderson. He is in his sixth year of teaching at Newnan High School. He has previously taught at Brentwood in Tennessee and also at Smokey Road Middle School for several years.

Coach Henderson coaches many sports at Newnan. He has coached soccer, football, and basketball. This year he is coaching ninth grade football and girls' varsity soccer. He believes each of the sports is very exciting to him for various reasons. Some are faster paced than others but still keep him involved.

Coach Henderson teaches social studies classes at Newnan. He teaches a World History class and also a World War II class. His favorite time period of history is World War II, and he wishes he had more time to go into more details in the class. Coach Henderson says he loves history and has always been interested by it.

Coach Henderson has two children, a girl who is two-years-old and a boy who is four-years-old. They really love coming to the games he coaches. Both are very active and seem to love all types of sports.
