Newnan Lady Cougars Softball

The Newnan Lady Cougars beat the Paulding County Lady Patriots 10 - 0 in five innings at the NHS field on Thursday, September 27.

The win kept the Lady Cougars perfect in Region 4AAAAA with a 3 - 0 record. Newnan is 8 - 11 overall while Paulding dipped to 6 - 6 overall.

Kayla Vallery struck out seven of the first 10 batters she faced.

Newnan took a 1 - 0 lead in the second inning when Mallory Gray doubled down the right field line, then moved to third on Macy McCoy's grounder and scored on Brook Steed's pop fly single.

Molly, Garmony, Kayla Haygood, A. J. Hill, Amber McIntyre, and Brooke Steed had the Lady Cougars' other hits, all singles--while McIntyre and Hill scored two runs each.
