September 29th Cheerleading Competition

Last Saturday, both of Newnan's cheerleading squads participated in a competition. Harris County High School was the host. Fourteen schools were present at the competition. Every squad provided the crowd with great entertainment.

Newnan's varsity squad pulled off first place in the 5-A division. The members include Cayley Byars, Jessi Clark, Josh Cook, Danielle Daniel, Hillary Gamer, Kristin Gazaway, Chalonda Goodman, Heather Gowan, Casey Hice, Jessica Hill, Derrica Irving, Hannah Long, Bianca Malcolm, Alleigh Ray, Lauren Richardson, and Danielle Snead. Each member displayed enthusiasm and skill.

The junior varsity squad also won first in the JV co-ed division. Members of the JV squad are Alex Aaron, Sarah Baker, Autumn Chandler, Latrice Clark, Destiny Deaton, Jordan Denby, Abby Eisenmann, Carlee Forrest, Emily Fuson, Amber Ham, Felicia Hill, Haley Johnson, Lindsey Lassetter, Montana Moore, Tori Pettigrew, Camille Wilbanks.
